The Deputy Commissioner for Operations Support, should establish an LCU Program Office whose responsibilities include: Evaluating the pilot initiative to determine whether it is achieving its established goals for the LCU initiative. Identifying and coordinating the expansion of additional offices as set forth in the Strategic Operating Plan. Developing processes and procedures to ensure the implementation of the IRS’s Strategic Operating Plan goal of attracting, retaining, and empowering a highly skilled, diverse workforce and develop a culture that is better equipped to deliver results for taxpayers.
